How to sort data from *.vbg

I use my Visual Basic 5.0 Professional to design a database program. When I run the program it's OK but I can not sort the data in alphabetical order if the data input in random. I tried to sort in source file (Access file - *.mdb) but it's still not fix while I called up the program in VB.
