.TH EXPIRE-IP-DB 1 "August 1999" Fastresolve .SH NAME expire-ip-db \- remove old entries from a dns-terror DB file .SH SYNOPSIS .B expire-ip-db [\-v] [\-d days] [\-m mark-size] [ip2host.db] .SH DESCRIPTION .B expire-ip-db removes entries older than a given time from a DB file produced by .BR dns-terror . This keeps the DB file from growing without bounds. If this were not done, then eventually the overhead of storing months' worth of IP address to hostname mappings could become greater than the speed benefit from having them available, and the memory image of .B dns-terror could become unworkably large. .SH OPTIONS .IP "\-d days" Remove entries older than days.
