[CARD] ishmail.fileAddAltPB.ctx.HLP [TITLE] Add Alternatives Container Option Use the Add Alternatives Container option to insert an attachment into your message using one or more alternative formats. This is useful if you are not sure of the capabilities of the mail reader being used by the message recipient. For example, you can include a document in ASCII, Enriched Text, and Post Script formats. If the recipient's mail reader can handle displaying Post Script files, this method will be used to show the included document. If the recipient can't handle Post Script, perhaps the mail reader can handle Enriched Text. If so, this method is used to display the included document. If the recipient can't handle Enriched Text, the message will be displayed as ASCII text. When you use an Alternatives Container, only one view of the message will be presented to the recipient, and it will be the one which uses the highest available capability of the recipient's mail reader. You can control the order of preference for alternative views. The first one you specify is the least desirable (this should be the ASCII version, which all mail readers can handle). The last one you specify is the most desirable.
